In our in-house laboratory, formulations and processes are constantly refined to enhance masterbatch performance, increase material stability and reduce the environmental impact of production processes.

A Technologically Advanced Laboratory
The MasterPlast laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, enabling full in-house management of all research and quality control phases:
- IR spectrophotometers for formulation analysis;
- Thermogravimetric analyzers (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) to study thermal behavior;
- Rotational rheometer to measure viscosity and rheological properties;
- UL94 chamber for self-extinguishing tests;
- Plastometer for Melt Flow Index measurement;
- Granulometer to monitor the particle size of incoming raw materials.
Thanks to this equipment, we are able to reproduce real industrial processing conditions, anticipating material behavior during production.
Development of New Solutions
R&D activities are focused on the creation of innovative, tailor-made masterbatches, with particular attention to:

Endothermic and exothermic blowing agents for lightweight and flexible foams;

Low-halogen flame retardants;

Next-generation UV and thermal stabilizers;

Colour masterbatches developed directly on the customer’s resin to ensure compatibility and chromatic uniformity;
- Laser markers – developed on resin according to customer specifications, ensuring maximum compatibility with the finished product and enhancing the required light/dark contrast.
Each formulation is tested, verified and replicated to ensure consistent performance and long-term reliability.
